The power of "Thank you"

For the past several months I have been saying "thank you" every night as I fall asleep and everything I find myself thinking less than positive thoughts.

On February 13, 2009 (a Friday)I was hired at Macy's as a permeate part-time employee. This was after I had ben unemployed for a year and starting to run out of benefits. I have had constant problems with my feet ever since. There have been days when I have to stay in bed because by legs an feet hurt so badly. Recently my right foot was in a great deal of pain. Even though I was soaking my feet almost every night the pain was not leaving. I decided to take a closer look at my foot to find that the skin under my fourth toe was sliced opened for no reason. I trimmed my foot in hopes that the problem would stop. It seemed fine for awhile, but this passed week the problem came back again and worse than before. I felt as though I had broken glass in my foot. Plus the slice was still there. I became very concerned as Diabetes run in my family. See I have no health insurance because my income has been just enough to cover the minimum payments on my bills and food each week. So for the last 24 hours I have been trying to decide what to do. So I just kept saying "Thank you" and focus on my foot being well. Well, when I finally got out of bed this morning I checked my foot and then started to massage my foot. I adjusted my toes and would you know it, my fourth toe made a little popping noise. A few minutes later the pain of broken glass was gone. Thank you.

I focused
I meditated
I took action.

The universe came though.

Well the New Year got off to a rather crashing start. Last on January 21, 2009, I was standing in the Mall in Washington, D.C. watching the inauguration of our newest president. This year on the same day I found myself facing a head-on crash. I just had a new tire put on my car and decided to leave Sam's Club (where I bought the tire)I needed gas, as my car was close to empty and wanted to pay cash for the gas so I decided to go to a different gas station. As I started to make my turn into the driveway of the gas station a rather large pick-up truck decided to exit the gas station taking up the entire driveway. The driver never considered staying to the right so that others could enter the station. I had to re-adjust my turn since he now blocked my view of the driveway and so that I could get around him. Little did I now that there would be another car coming straight at me going rather fast and with no headlights on. See, in Minnesota, when the weather is cloudy, rainy, and or snowy, you are to drive with your headlights on. My mind said, "Turn as fast as you can!" I did. But as it was to go - the driver hit my car. He hit me so hard that my car was pushed up onto the sidewalk pushing me backwards pass the truck that was blocking the driveway. Even though my body was forced to the passenger side of the car (Yes, I always wear my seat belt)the windows did not shatter, only a cracked windshield. When the police arrived at the scene, one of the officers told me that if I had been driving any other car I would have been in a world of hurt. So far I have a bruised liver, badly bruised ribs, and severely bruised left leg from it being forced into the steering wheel. My car is totaled.

Why am I telling this story? Because everything happens for a reason. This car had been the seed of my decaying life since I purchased it on June 19, 2001. My income declined. Professionally, I declined going through 4 jobs in 2 years. My credit is shot and to think that I was able to buy this car in 45 minutes 9 years ago and now I can't even think of financing a roller skate. But the story as a positive ending to this chapter. I have stayed strong. I have not missed a day of work even though my bruised liver makes me ill. I have been able to find a replacement car that I know will keep me as safe as the one that saved my life. My job opportunities are improving and so is my self esteem.

Yes, you can hit me, call me names, try to degrade me, but I know that I have value and will always be worth the time and education I have invested in myself and more.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

The universe came though. UPDATE - June 13, 2012. I have found something that truly helped this problem. A friend of mine found 35%food gradable H2O2 (Hydrogen peroxide. I have been rubbing this on my feet. On night I rubbed in the cut. The pain was extremely painful. But after several hours it calmed down. the cut is now healed and the pain in my foot is gone. The is a book called the "One minute cure". It tells you how this product works and how it can help delete many ailments.

A time to renew

The year is almost over. Many of us have had our lives turned upside down. Well today is the first day of the rest of my life and I plan to make the best of each moment.

For the past 5 years I have been searching for MY meaning and purpose in this world. I have read many books and listened to many inspirational speakers. The bottom line is --- have faith in yourself and the thoughts you wish to think will began to happen on a regular bases.

Why do I say thoughts???? "Because what you think about you bring about." Each time I write in my Dov Baron journal and give thanks for all that I have in my life I see that things have improve.

I went from being unemployed from a job that I loved, having to draw down every dime I could to keep the lights on and the creditors away. I now have 2 part time jobs and lots of faith that the opportunities will continue to come.

Please - learn more about who you are and what your purpose is. Read and listen to the words of Dov Baron. He is sincere and energetic.
